  • We don’t direct bill insurance, but can provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance provider.

    Check to make sure your benefits cover mental health counseling/therapy with a MSW level Registered Social Worker or a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

  • Both! We offer virtual therapy via the Jane app as well as in person sessions in our office at 71 Albert Street, Oshawa.

  • Yes! We offer individual therapy. We have a team of specialists in anxiety and burnout, grief, caregiving, racial trauma, life transitions, and ADHD.

  • Our therapists are trained and certified in a variety of methods and will tailor their approach based on your needs. The methods we may use include:

    • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

    • Narrative therapy

    • Existential therapy

    • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)

    • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

    • Internal family systems (IFS)

    • Brain rewiring

    • Emotion focused therapy (EFT)

    Our therapists bring an understanding of racial trauma and lived experience of being other.

    We find that our best-fit couples are:

    • Young or young at heart

    • Post-secondary students and those “starting out”

    • Working professionals

    • Parents to young children

    • Interracial partnerships

    • Couples where one or both partners has ADHD

    It might be better for us to refer you out if you are actively dealing with:

    • Addiction

    • Violence

    • Pathology (mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, and serious personality disorders)

  • Our primary method is PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy). It’s an approach that focuses on attachment (your history of important relationships), arousal, and regulation. We bring in aspects of other methods depending on the needs of the couple. PACT is probably different than any other therapy you may have tried before. PACT therapists are encouraged to experiment and not have couples take themselves too seriously.

  • We’ll work as co-investigators to explore and test ways of interacting as a couple that will strengthen your bond and set you up for relationship success. There’s no blaming, no finger pointing, and everything we do is about “the couple”. We’ll figure out patterns that are stopping you from getting what you want and work in real time to practice new techniques.

  • Yes! We are expert facilitators and love leading teams through generative, creative, and restorative processes. Reach out if you are interested in working together on innovation, workplace culture, strategic planning, or building high-performance teams.

  • We require 48 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment, or you will be required to pay the full fee for the missed appointment.
