Relationship Therapy

Relationship therapy for love, family, friends, and work.

Relationship Therapy might be perfect for you if:

You’re ready to start dating again, or have been in the pool for a while, but keep ending up getting hurt in crappy relationships.

You’re separated or divorced and trying to keep it together while also struggling with deep hurt, loss, and grief.

You struggle to make friends, or you find yourself in constant conflict with friends or having friendship “break ups”.

You’re in a relationship but feeling unsettled, unsure, not clear on which direction to take. You’re stuck in “relationship ambivalence”. You might be thinking over a big move, deciding to live together, get married, have kids, or separate and divorce. Maybe you’ve done all those things but are feeling unfulfilled and like you’re in a relationship that is too good to leave, but too bad to stay.

Our therapists all hold the belief that relationships are everything.

We’re committed to a world where everyone can thrive through more love, more support, and more connection. We offer expertise through our training in attachment, trauma, emotions focused methods, and cognitive based methods. We’re also real people who have done our own work to understand our own relationship wounds, and have taken the hard steps to heal ourselves. We bring all of that into the therapy room to be able to support you on your own journey.

Relationship therapy with TRA will help you understand why you keep repeating the same patterns, and break them.

You’ll learn what a healthy relationship looks like, so you know it when you see it. You’ll get clear on what you want out of a relationship and heal past hurts that might be holding you back. You’ll create more balanced, loving, and fun romantic relationships and friendships that nurture you instead of drain you.

How does it work?

We’ll complete an intake session to identify your goals and get clear on what you’re hoping to achieve through therapy. We recommend weekly sessions to start so that you can build a relationship with your therapist and get momentum on moving toward the changes you want to see. Your therapist might give you things to do between sessions, like journaling, practicing a new skill like mindfulness, or therapeutic ways to move your body. Some sessions will be tough, but others will be fun and energetic.
